Have you ever lowered your car's window and then when you raise it you hear "clunk, clunk"  and either the window goes up straight, or sometimes crooked, and then falls back down, or perhaps doesn't move at all?

On most of todays vehicles the culprit will be the window regulator.  This device is cable driven and made up mostly of plastic parts, other than the cables. The part is sometimes replaced as an individual component by itself, or as a motor-regulator assembly.
